Blue Moon Bay

Blue Moon Bay By Lisa Wingate

I was intrigue to read more when Heather had to go back to a place that had nothing but bad memories for her. All because her mother changed her mind about selling the land she had agreed to in the first place. Heather who is a successful architect needs this deal to go through so she can prove to her boss that she deserves to become junior partner or even a partner. While Heather is speaking to her mother on the phone trying to find out what is going on; she gets this suspicious feeling inside of her when she finds out her Mother is at Lake Moses, Texas and so is her brother Clay. Heather's Mother never like Lake Moses, in fact she hated it. All the memories that Heather lock away far back in her mind started pouring out as if a dam burst wide open. There was no stopping the flood of memories, all the hurts and lies. When Heather gets to Lake Moses, she sees her brother Clay and wonders why he is there. Clay has never been one to stay in one place long enough to grow roots. Heather's Mom, brother, and Uncles start acting secretive around Heather; which make Heather even more suspicious as to why her Mother is really in Lake Moses, Texas. Heather thinks of the wonderful life she has back in Seattle and ponders if staying in Lake Moses is worth all the trouble. Heather sees her brother Clay talking to Blaine who was once the star of the football team in high school, Mr. good looking himself and now the banker of the town. She starts to wonder what they could possibly be talking about out at the lake. That's a mystery in it's self since Clay and Blaine are totally different from each other. Clay is the one who is always off to save the world and Blaine's family are very wealthy; they own a lot of business in Moses Lake, Texas. Heather decides she should stay to find out what is really going on with her mother's decision on not wanting to sell the property, and what is her brother and Blaine up to. Why does everyone skirt around Heather's questions when she tries to get some answers from them.
I really enjoyed Lisa Wingate's book. I only put the book down when I had to do some things around the house and get some sleep. I couldn't wait to find out what would happened next.
I received a free copy of Blue Moon Bay -By Lisa Wingate from Bethany House so I can review.  In no way am I made to give only good reviews.
