Soul Detox by Craig Groeschel

 I really like how Craig Groeschel tells it like it is in a nut shell, not going around the bush. We all need to detox our soul whether we think we do or not. Every Christian needs to discern what we are listening to, watching on TV or at the theater, reading, or what we're looking at online is pleasing to the Holy Spirit. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit what are we allowing to come in to our minds. What thoughts are we taking in and playing around with or storing in our head that is not of God. If the Holy Spirit lives in us that means we take him everywhere we go, what places do we take him to and is he happy about it. What friends or co-workers are we spending time with. Are we behaving like them? Are we lying to ourselves thinking it doesn't matter. Are we destroying our marriage, our relationships with our family, with God.

I like how Craig Groeschel included King David's prayer to the Father in his book. To me that says it all.

Wash away all my iniquity
and cleanse me from my sin.
Cleanse me with Hyssop, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Create in me a pure heart, oh Lord,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant in me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Psalm 51:2,7,10,12
